Ryan Wilson was a 29 year old white individual from Belvidere, Illinois.
On November 8th, 2010, at roughly 10pm, Ryan Wilson was found passed out in the bathroom of a fast food restaurant.
According to his obituary, Ryan was enrolled in substance abuse counseling at Rock Valley College. He was also an active member of Narcotics Anonymous.
Ryan was allegedly found with a hypodermic syringe. Rockford police officers responded, and briefly took him to a local hospital.
Ryan was lodged and booked by 12:30am Tuesday morning.
Ryan Wilson was pronounced dead at 11:43 a.m after being found unresponsive in his cell, and taken to the hospital.
This was the first case investigated, and subsequently justified by the Winnebago County Integrity Task Force, now known as the Winnebago-Boone County Integrity Task Force.
This was the second deadly force incident by police in Winnebago County in the 2010’s.
Ryan Wilson was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and a regular at the Belvidere YMCA.
