Oskaras Stundzia has been a Rockford police officer since February 2008. He is currently a sergeant.


On February 6th, 2019, Stundzia responded to the shooting of Randy Pierson by then Rockford Police officer Timothy Stec on Highway 20.


Stundzia spoke with Stec who confirmed the spent shell casings and the empty magazine in the middle of the road were his.


Under orders from Robert Reffett, Stundzia and other officers went into the camper that was being pulled by Randy Pierson’s vehicle. Stundzia then left the scene with Tim Campbell to retrieve the “emergency response vehicle” from City yards.
