In 2022, Anthony Curran was named in a wrongful death lawsuit that alleged Curran's deliberate indifference in responding to the shooting of Phillip Trammel, which led to his death.


It is alleged that despite being told about the potential harm of moving Phil, Curran immediately rolled him onto his back.


The lawsuit states that Phil repeatedly asked Curran for help, but Curran did not provide any aid until Phil had stopped breathing.
