Lucas Davidson has been a Rockford Police officer since September 2015.

Davidson has been a SCOPE (Specialized Community Oriented Police Enforcement Officer) team cop from 2020 to 2025.

During a march to District One in the early stages of the Occupation at City Hall, Davidson and Kaera Watson followed and staked out the protest.

Davidson would end up football tackling a protester for alleged graffiti.

On January 5th, 2021, Davidson was involved in the beating of Denzel Dunivant. Davidson admitted to punching Denzel in the face several times. In his report, he admitted to holding Denzel's face down into the snow.

Denzel was charged with aggravated battery of a police officer after Davidson's hand slipped and his fingers went into Denzel's mouth. Denzel allegedly bit down when Davidson did not immediately remove his fingers.
