He was assigned to respond to the Occupation at City Hall on January 11th, 2021. During this assignment officers were told to ban protestors from City Hall & remove all belongings.
One individual was arrested after allegedly bumping into public works director Kyle Saunders.
Lenz transported the protestor from City Hall to the Winnebago County Jail.
The individual arrested was eventually found not guilty on all counts after a jury trial.
