Adam Dreger #1951

Adam Dreger has been a Rockford police officer since May of 2013.


Dreger was one of three RPD officers who responded to a welfare check at the residence of the president of the Rockford NAACP.


On February 6th, 2019, Dreger responded to a shots fired call made by then Rockford Police officer Timothy Stec. Upon arrival, Dreger learned that Stec had shot Randy Pierson. He stayed with Stec for the immediate aftermath of the shooting as his union representative.


In the fall of 2022, Dreger was one of the responding squadrol officers to a scene at the RPS 205 administration building during a School Board meeting. In the weeks leading up to November 14th, there had been an increased police presence following the slamming of a 14-year-old Auburn High School freshman by Rockford resource officer Brad Lauer.
