The SCOPE (Specialized Community Oriented Police Enforcement) team is made up of some of the most violent police officers. Multiple officers prior to joining the SCOPE team have been involved a deadly force incident.

Multiple officers have been involved in deadly force incidents since joining the team including but not limited to shooting teenagers in the back and several high speed pursuits that led to fatal car crashes.

Ceja assisted in multiple arrests during the August 2020 City Market protests.
