On July 29, 2020, Murphy was tasked by Rockford officer Matthew Williams to conduct a photo identification line up with Metro Enforcement Agency “Captain” Tim Gentry.

The goal of the lineup was to have Gentry identify individuals who had been protesting in the area of City Market in an attempt to raise awareness to the police violence that took place on May 30th, 2020, during the first protest in Rockford following the murder of George Floyd.


The goal was to identify the protesters to cook up criminal charges on them at the request of the City Market director, Cathy McDermott.
